On October 15, 2019 close to 200 members of District 1199 joined together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of SEIU District 1199 New England. Members wore hats from “the old days” to help recognize the union’s history. To start the day, 1199NE Secretary Treasurer Suzanne Clark facilitated a panel discussion, including current President Rob Baril, retired President David Pickus, and several 1199 members discussing the past, present, and future of the union. This was followed by a panel discussion led by Training Fund College and Career Counselor Susan Oliver, including members who have used the Training Fund over the years.
