A new PCA Orientation Program was established by the collective bargaining agreement between the State of CT PCA Workforce Council and the SEIU District 1199 NE.   The PCA Orientation is a condition of employment of any PCAs hired on or after January 1, 2015, and moving forward. PCAs will have 90 days from their hire date to complete an orientation. The PCA Orientation Program is a 3-hour long session, held across the state of Connecticut at 15 different locations.

The PCA Orientation will cover:

  • Understanding Independent Living Principles
  • Operational Procedures of the CT PCA Program
  • Recognizing and Reporting Fraud, Abuse, and Neglect
  • Workers’ Rights

You can enroll into your mandatory PCA orientation, either by submitting an online enrollment form or contacting one of our Enrollment Specialists.
